Estimating Parking Spot Occupancy

چکیده
Whether or not a car occupies a given parking spot at a given time can be modeled as a random variable. By looking at a parking lot as a collection of these random variables, we create a spatial random process. In this paper, we will consider factors that affect the probability and distribution of occupancy in a parking lot. We then create a simplified model accounting for some of the more regular and important factors and simulate results with this model.
